Why This Role Matters
We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner who sits at the intersection of Finance, Commercial, and Data.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding what is driving business performance, not just reporting the numbers. You’ll work closely with business teams to analyze revenue, customers, subscriptions, cohorts, profitability, and operational performance, turning data into clear insights and recommendations.
The ideal candidate combines FP&A fundamentals with strong commercial and analytical skills and is comfortable working with detailed business data, building models, and explaining what is happening behind the numbers.
What You'll Be Working On
Analyze monthly business performance, revenue, profitability, and key commercial metrics.
Own and prepare MRR bridges, including new business, expansion, contraction, churn, and other revenue movements.
Perform cohort analysis to understand customer behavior, retention, revenue contribution, and trends over time.
Analyze subscription and customer economics, including retention, churn, ARPU, LTV, CAC, and other relevant KPIs.
Partner with Commercial, Product, Operations, and Marketing teams to understand business drivers and identify opportunities or risks.
Prepare monthly performance reports and clearly explain the key movements and drivers behind the numbers.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Build financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses for new initiatives and business decisions.
Develop dashboards and automated reporting to make financial and commercial insights easier to access.
Work with Data and Engineering teams to improve data quality, reporting, and automation.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting processes.
Support ad hoc commercial and financial analysis for business and finance leadership.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Business Analysis, Revenue Analytics, Management Accounting, or a similar role.
Experience in subscription, SaaS, e-commerce, food-tech, retail, marketplace, or other data-driven businesses is highly preferred.
Professional certifications such as CFA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA are a plus, but not required.
Strong Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong understanding of MRR / revenue movements and subscription economics.
Hands-on experience with cohort analysis, retention, churn, and customer/revenue analysis.
Strong financial modeling and business case development skills.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
Comfortable working with large datasets and translating data into meaningful business insights.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar is a plus.
Experience with SQL or working closely with Data teams is a plus.
Familiarity with AI and automation tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you will be expected to:
Clearly explain why revenue and profitability moved from one period to another.
Build and maintain accurate MRR bridges and cohort analyses.
Turn complex financial and commercial data into simple, actionable insights.
Help business teams understand the financial impact of their decisions.
Improve the way we report, analyze, and use financial data.
Automate manual reporting and recurring analysis wherever possible.
Become a trusted finance partner to the teams you support.
Who You Are
Highly analytical and naturally curious about how the business makes money.
Comfortable getting into the details of data rather than relying only on high-level reports.
Commercially minded and interested in customers, revenue, growth, and profitability.
Able to challenge assumptions and ask the right questions.
Strong communicator who can explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Interested in using technology, AI, and automation to work smarter.
